You know - at first I sort of dismissed this idea as being way too sad for me to cope with but as always with your fic outlines it lodged in my brain and I had IDEAS. Like! It would be really interesting if, despite the curse, Harry realises he is surrounded by hangers on who obviously don't like him anymore but who STILL lie and act like they do and tell him he's fab etc. And he knows about thecurse and that they're faking it because of trying to get what they can from him and this whole thing is making him wiser and more determined, once he gets free, to really cherish the people who actually love him for real. ... but then! Niall!! Who Harry can see is trying to act as tho he's not feeling the curse (as you've explained in the outline) but ANGST ALERT Harry doesn't understand that Niall's coming at this from a completely different place. And ok, Harry's sad about the curse but he's somehow managing to get through because he understands what's going on now but when he thinks Niall might only have ever pretended to like him for career advancement or whatever- well that's DEVASTATING!


So my idea for ur fic (how arrogant of me!) is that (pre curse) everyone else in the band is aware of all the approaches Harry is getting to go solo all the time, al the execs and industry wannabes telling him he's the special one, he's always been the one, he's just carrying the rest off the band, he's crazy to let them drag him back etc. And Louis gets so pissed off with it he gets this curse cast on Harry - not actually believing it'll work - idk he's out in a bar in Thailand or Slovakia or something and met some scoby character who overheard him ranting and offers him the curse in exchange for a bottle of vodka.

So then all the stuff you've said starts happening and Harry gets very very sad but somehow Louis tells him about the curse, like haha, funny how everything's a bit shit for you now Harry, like you actually have to work for stuff now instead of just smiling & everyone falling over themselves to make you happy, wow it's almost like that crazy curse came true!

Maybe it's another week or so after that that it finally dawns on Lou that the curse did come true & then he has to go back & find the witch/creepy guy. Although first maybe he sorta thinks he'll leave it cos he hates Harry now after all and he's only going through break up the band once everyone starts loving him again but I think he'll be the one to figure out what's happening with Narry and in the end, it's cos he loves Niall that he does the right thing.

And there'll be a beautiful moment when the curse lifts and Louis sees Harry and for the first time in years is just flooded with the huge love and fondness he used to feel for him, right in the early days before it all went wrong.
And oh maybe this is a Lourry friendship fic after all.

There should be more fics about intense friendships anyway!!
